Event Information

Walk for Lupus Now is a family-friendly event that raises funds to support the programs and services of the Lupus Foundation of America, Philadelphia Tristate Chapter (LFA). The Delaware Walk for Lupus Now will take place on July 11, 2010 at the Hare Pavilion on the Wilmington Riverfront. Choose to walk 2 or 4 kilometers along the scenic Wilmington Riverfront. Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome!

Walkers are asked to check-in at 7:30 a.m.; the Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, suitable for the weather. Refreshments will be provided.

There are no fees to participate in the Walk, but a commemorative Walk for Lupus Now T-shirt will be provided to each participant who has raised $100 or more, for individual walkers. For teams, every $100 raise will earn you a free t-shirt, up to the amount of members on the team.  

Here are some simple steps to get you started:

1. Register for the Walk for Lupus Now®.
2. Set a fundraising goal.
3. Start a team. Walking with a team is more fun, and makes it easier to raise money.
4. Raise money. Get valuable fundraising tips, and set up a personal fundraising page to spread the word among friends, family, and co-workers.
5. Walk with friends, family, and team members.
6. Celebrate a job well done!
